Shared Mental Health Care

Shared Mental Health Care in Canada The collaborative working group on shared mental health care was established in 1997 to address the ideas for improving the practice of shared mental health care between family physicians and psychiatry contained in the joint position paper, Shared Mental Health Care in Canada. The interim report, Shared Mental Health Care in Canada: Current Status, Commentary and Recommendations, summarizes the working group's findings to date and makes recommendations for further activity with regard to how and to what extent shared care is currently practiced across Canada, the barriers and possible solutions to the practice of shared care, and promoting inter-organizational collaboration.
